The Office of Graduate Studies is dedicated to providing access and opportunity for all graduate students, helping them reach their full potential through education and professional success. In partnership with the Graduate Pathways Society (GPS) and the Council of Graduate Students (COGS), we are focused on eliminating financial barriers that hinder students’ advancement in their educational journeys.
How your gift will support students
Your gift, no matter the size, makes an immediate difference in a student’s life:
- $10–$20 – Supports gas for travel to internships or field research
- $70 – Covers a graduate school application fee
- $100 – Pays for a professional organization membership
- $150 – Supports travel to a local conference
- $200 – Covers registration for a major professional conference
- $500 – Helps fund a student’s participation in a national conference

Entering and navigating graduate school can be challenging. Only 5% of Chico State undergraduates continue on to graduate school, and less than a quarter of our graduate students are from first-generation, low-income, or underrepresented backgrounds. Financial struggles shouldn’t hold them back.
