Chico State’s Black Student Union (BSU) is dedicated to fostering educational programs that promote academic success, cultural awareness, and personal development. While our mission is rooted in supporting Black students, we welcome and encourage all students to engage in learning experiences that celebrate Pan-African culture and history.

Your donation will help fund cultural programs, leadership development, and educational events that uplift and empower students. Contributions will support initiatives such as bringing professional speakers to campus, hosting career exploration workshops, and providing opportunities for students to attend national and statewide conferences. These experiences create spaces for dialogue, learning, and personal growth for all who participate.

BSU serves as a vital community for students, offering academic, social, and emotional support in a campus environment where Black students make up less than 3% of the population. Through our programs and advocacy, we strive to create an inclusive, enriching space where students of all backgrounds can engage with and appreciate the rich cultural traditions of the African diaspora.
