The REACH Student Success Center (formerly the Chico Student Success Center) is a dedicated support program for first-generation and historically underserved students. We provide comprehensive assistance from the moment our students step onto campus, and throughout their entire college journey.
Starting college can be overwhelming, especially without the familiarity of navigating higher education. That’s why we offer peer & faculty mentorship to all first-year REACHers, enrollment into our college success course, tailored workshops and events, and a welcoming environment that serves as a home away from home.
Historically, REACH students achieve higher GPA’s and retention rates than the University average. Last academic year alone, we had over 2,300 unique visits in our Center, showing the strong demand for the services that we provide.

100% of your donations go directly towards supporting our students:
$25 = Helps purchase snacks for study jam sessions in the Center
$50 = Supports one student with their course supplies
$100 = Provides one/two textbooks for a student
Graduating seniors who make a gift of $20.25 or more will earn a Gold Wildcat Spirit Cord from Chico State!
With our donations this year, we are also looking to create long term goals that will support student success in ways such as:
$500 = Funds a community building event for student staff, such as a bringing back our annual bowling tournament
$1000 = Supplies funds to award a scholarship to a student facing a crisis
$2000 = Supports the payment of peer mentors to help first-year students overcome their challenges
