Description
Green Campus is a student group devoted to promoting sustainability on campus. The program has provided opportunities to engage the campus in sustainability through projects and educational events. Students have led projects in bike & B-Line education, recycled paper crafts, hosted a free store for students, and implemented restoration efforts on Big Chico Creek on campus. These experiences familiarize students with the sustainability efforts on campus and in the broader Chico community. Green Campus students are key catalysts in engaging and educating the campus while building a community and culture around sustainability through research, peer education, and project development and implementation.
How will donations be used?
$20 supports local snack/food items for events
$40 supports activity materials for one Green Campus educational event
$100 supports sustainable materials to give away to students
$160 supports material creation tools for educational outreach
$500 - $1000 supports a large project that helps fulfill our campus sustainability goals
Support Green Campus!
We work on projects that help the university achieve its sustainability goals as well as focus on educating students on how they can be more sustainable, engage with their natural environment, and incorporate green ideas into their careers. Sustainability is a positive feedback loop leading to healthy people and a healthy planet.
