Why are donations necessary?
Community Action Volunteers in Education, lovingly referred to as “CAVE,” has a rich history as the oldest running program of the Associated Students of Chico State. The program was founded by a group of students in 1966 who were dedicated to offering community service opportunities to their peers. CAVE programming began with an in-house tutoring program offered to low-income families in the Butte County area. CAVE has continued to be led by approximately 35 students and places more than 100 volunteers in the community to serve the needs of 9 local community organizations each semester.
