The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is dedicated to providing a high-quality mathematics education that equips our diverse student population with the critical thinking skills they need to succeed. We serve as a resource for the College, University, and community in pure and applied mathematics, mathematics education, statistics, and data science, while also contributing to the growth of mathematical and statistical knowledge.
We offer a wide range of programs: a bachelor's degree with four options, multiple minors, an in-demand certificate, General Education courses, support courses for various majors, a Master's in Data Science and Analytics, and, launching Fall 2025, a Master's in Mathematics and a blended BS/MS in Mathematics.
