NSSLHA is an organization on campus dedicated to serving the community, specifically working with people with speech, language, and hearing differences. Every year, NSSLHA gives back to its alumni and the community by hosting a conference offering free continuing education credits to local SLPs. By donating, you are helping us give back to our community!
How will donations be used?
This year's annual NSSLHA conference will be held in person at the college. NSSLHA will be paying our guest speaker and providing housing for her stay for the service she is providing our community.
Support Local SLP's with NSSLHA!
Speech-language pathologists are required to complete 24 clock hours of continuing education to renew their license every 2 years. Paying for these classes is an expense that SLPs have to field themselves, which is why NSSLHA gives back to the community by providing about 3 hours of continuing education for free at our annual conference! In helping us fund our conference through your donations, you are actively taking part in giving back to your community
Why are donations necessary?
This year we will have an amazing speaker named DeAnna Glass who is an expert in the field of Behavior Analysis. DeAnna will educate us on ways to be productive and fun in speech sessions when preventing, replacing, and responding to the behaviors of clients. As students move through their education, they will one day become professionals, and this conference serves as an enriching and educational experience for our members. In the past, we have been fortunate enough to provide this conference for free. By receiving donations, we can continue to provide this for our members and community. Gaining the knowledge this speaker offers will allow us to one day be better professionals who serve all kinds of communities.
