The Randall Schriefer Memorial Scholarship was established by his friends and
colleagues on the Alumni Association Board of Directors to honor his work and dedication to the university.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 over the next five years to establish this as an endowed scholarship.
How do donations help students?
This scholarship supports dependents of Chico State alumni who are actively involved on campus and within the Chico community through volunteerism, club memberships, and/or campus/school-sponsored activities.
About Randall Schriefer
On July 29, 2023, Randall (Randy) Schriefer, loving husband, father, brother, colleague, and friend, passed away near Corning, CA. Randy was known as a man of integrity and commitment and an all-around great guy. He graduated from Chico State in 1994 with a degree in kinesiology. Shortly after college, he found his career with the CHP before lateraling over to the San Jose Police Department in 1999. Randy retired as Captain from the SJPD in August 2022 and began working for Amazon in the emergency services unit.
Randy is survived by his loving wife Kelly, their two daughters Maddie and Emma, and his brother Scott.
