Tehama Group Communications is a student-managed public relations agency operating through Chico State’s Department of Journalism and Public Relations. We serve small businesses, government organizations and nonprofit clients in Chico and surrounding areas. With hands-on learning experience thanks to real clients, TGC provides students with networking expertise and strengthens their communication and writing skills. Students learn how to successfully solve complex problems through teamwork, creativity, positivity and perseverance.

How Will Donations Be Used?
When you donate to TGC, you help keep our professional work environment relevant, accessible and exciting for students. Your donations play a crucial role in helping us create high-quality multimedia for our clients. They enable us to visit professional agencies not only in San Francisco and Sacramento but also in Seattle. Your support provides us with modern technology such as computers and cameras to provide students with equipment that will advance their skills. Our alumni, clients, students, family members and staff create the framework that keeps us connected. Your contributions allow TGC to be a space where students gain knowledge and skills to lead them into fruitful careers.
The majority of our donations contribute to TGC student scholarships. These grants offer financial support ranging from $500 to $1,000 for staffers who transition into our management and leadership positions.

What Is TGC? Tehama Group Communications is a full-service public relations agency specializing in strategic communication through our team of writers, videographers, photographers, editors, graphic and web designers. We provide paying and pro-bono clients with various communication services to meet their needs. Students work in teams of four to six to support client accounts to prepare them for professional agency life with various experiences. Clients work with TGC’s adviser to develop a proposal that outlines the work students will accomplish each semester. Why should you donate? A large portion of TGC’s funding comes from you! Our agency is fortunate enough to receive these generous donations from our community members, family and alumni. Your financial support means the world to us and your contribution will help our agency leave its mark at Chico State and in the public relations industry. Donating to TGC this Giving Day allows students to gain the knowledge and skills to propel them into successful careers. Your support means students will get hands-on experience with clients on communication challenges and build the skills necessary to support their first jobs after graduation. TGC gives aspiring writers, creatives, journalists, and PR professionals the tools to accomplish their dreams. Donations help each student in various ways, such as being awarded a scholarship, allowing TGC to provide students with the equipment needed to succeed, and funding site visits to PR agencies to gain knowledge and insights into the industry.
