How will donations be used?
- Funding for our open house in Fall 2024.
- New publicity and outreach materials to welcome people into our new space.
Why are donations necessary?
The GSEC is the only student-run organization that is recognized by the University. As a result, most of our annual budget goes to paying the salaries of our student staff. Our annual budget was also cut 20% last year due to low enrollment, further constraining our efforts. The donations would help alleviate our tight budget constraints when it comes to planning events & actions, as well as aiding in preparing the GSEC for a move to the new Behavioral and Social Sciences building Fall 2024. Any gift amount will help us reach our goal- from $5 to $500 - activism is for everyone!
Thanks for Supporting the GSEC!
Support Student Activism!
Support student activism! The GSEC has been around for 52 years now, engaging the campus community in feminist & queer advocacy. Your donations will help fortify another 50 years of student-led activism on campus.
The Gender & Sexuality Equity Coalition is a student-run organization that focuses on raising awareness and educating the campus as well as the local community on feminist & queer advocacy/activist work. We do this by curating events and offering internships for students to fulfill their internship requirement. The GSEC space provides students the opportunity to engage in critical conversations about activist work to be done, to dismantle oppressions based on gender and sexuality, and to envision a world that centers equity and inclusion.
