Thanks to generous support from donors across the Chico State community, there are nearly $300,000 of challenges and matching gifts available to unlock!

The first gift received after midnight on March 1, 2023 will win an extra $500 in support of their cause.

If three or more of your family members make a gift on Chico State Giving Day, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to tell us who you are and what you're supporting. The first three families to be confirmed will win an extra $500 in support of their cause!
The cause that receives the gift that travels the greatest distance to Chico State will receive a bonus $500.
Winner: Nkechi Agbo (Madagascar) in support of Chico SAE Baja: Wildcat Racing
The Wildcat became Chico's mascot in 1924 by a vote of the student body. Today, the 1,924th donor will unlock an extra $1,924 for their chosen cause!
Winner: Denise Petkus in support of Men's Track & Field
The cause that receives the most gifts via personalized ambassador links will earn an additional $1,000 toward their campaign by 5 p.m. PST on March 2.
Winner: Women's Soccer

The last gift received on March 1, 2023 will unlock an additional $500 toward their area of support.

Chico State Fund Challenges
Thanks to generous support from alumni Stuart Casillas ('96), Bob Nienaber ('89), Dennis Murphy ('94), Dave Hodson ('90, '92), Chuck Nelsen ('89), and other anonymous donors we are able to offer the following Chico State Fund challenges and matches.
NEW: DONOR CHALLENGE
For each 250 donors after 2,500, it will unlock a bonus gift in support of the Chico State Fund!
2,500 Donors = $5,000 - Unlocked!
2,750 Donors = $7,500 - Unlocked!
3,000 Donors = $12,500 - Unlocked!
Construction officially began on Chico State Normal School at Chico in 1887. This year, the 1,887th donor will unlock a match of $10,000 to support students' greatest needs.
In addition to the eight-acre cherry orchard donated by John Bidwell, members of the Chico community raised $10,000 in 1887 to secure the bid for building the northern branch of the State Normal School. Today, that $10,000 is worth approximately $312,417. Surpassing the fundraising goal of $312,417 will unlock an additional match of $10,000 to support students' greatest needs.
SENIOR CLASS GIFT CHALLENGE
Gifts of $20.23 or more to any cause from graduating seniors will earn them the Wildcat Spirit Cord to wear at graduation. This year, 50 senior class gifts will unlock an additional $20,230 for the Chico State Fund.
